Phaselis

One km. after turning south 57 km. along the Antalya-Kemer highway (in itself a beautiful ride) one reaches Phasells. This was settled by the Rhodians in the 7th century B.C. and for many years was claimed to be the mdst Important port city of the eastern Lycian seaboard. Phaselis has three harbours: the North harbour, the Military or Protected (enclosed) harbour and the South harbour, of which the most important is the latter. A 20-24 metre wide avenue runs throughout the city.

PHASALIS

The western end is the site of Hadrian's Gate. On either side of the avenue are sidewalks and shops. Close to these can be seen the public places like the baths, theatre and agora.
Tekirova

Tekirova lies on Turkey's southwest coast about 17 km. from Olympos. This small resort with long sandy beaches and wooded shores has several attractive holiday villages. The sea here is ideal for water skiing, sailing, canoeing, surfing, parasailing and other water sports. Looking out to sea from Tekirova you see three islands in close proximity, known as Adalar or the Three Islands, known as Marti, Magara and Piknik. In order to protect antiquities and underwater life, amateur diving is prohibited in many areas along Turkey's southwest coast, and Adalar is one of the relatively few spots open to scuba divers.

TEKİROVA

Coral reefs are one of the main attractions for divers because they are home to many underwater plants which cover the surface of the rock. The rock walls also contain biding places for numerous species of interesting and colorful fish as well as commoner fish like sargo, moray eels and conger eels. The inner surfaces of the cavities in the ridge walls are lined with red, pink and yellow sponges.
Kemer

This resort town has been carefully designed to blend in with the surrounding scenery and offers an ideal enviroment for a wonderful holiday. The fully-equipped Kemer marina allows yachtsmen to enjoy the unspoiled bays and beaches south of the town.

Shoppers will delight in the wonderful range of high quality souvenirs for sale. A beach promenade north of the marina has steps down from its cafes and shops leading directly to the beach. Kemer Beach is a Blue Flag beach. (The term "Blue Flag" coined by the European Union sinifies especially clean beaches).

KEMER

In the Yörük (Nomad) Theme Park you can watch traditional crafts people at work. The adjoining bay is charming and delightful spot with many sports and daily entertainment facilities discreetly hidden among the pines. April is the mounth for the colorful Kemer Carnival.

Andriake (Demre)

This is 3 km south of Myra and its history dates back to that of Myra. It was settled as Myra's port city. Among the things worth seeing are the water channels, watch tower, city walls, granarium, agora and the ancient port.Limyra Tiyatrosu Limyra, Theatre Theatr von Limyra

It is 30 km from Kumluca and 48 km from Olympos. One of the most important of six Lycian cities, it was settled in the 5th century B.C. Although it was originally a coastal town, it has retreated from the sea because of the alluvium from the Demre stream. It was abandoned in the 9th century A.D. after the Arab invasion. The rock tombs, theatre and St. Nichelas Church have survived to make it a place worth visiting.

KEKOVA

St. Nicholas, born in 245 A.D. in Patara near Fethiye (known variously as St. Nicholas, Father Christmas, Santa Claus, Heilige Nikolaus and P~re Noel) died in 363 A.D., having spent his life in Anatolia. Son of a wealthy family and of good education, he devoted himself to mankind. Because of the assistance he rendered to those around him, St. Nicholas was known as the protector of children and sailors, and to this day the legend of Father Christmas continues to live as vividly as ever.

Kas

It is 167 km. from Olympos.

Today's Kas is a coastal city of the Lycians. "Phellos" is the Greek word for "stony place " and this name is very well suited to Kas. Its well preserved rock tombs and theatre are well worth seeing. Kas today is a small and charming coastal resort.

KAŞ

Antalya

One can become acquainted with a city through its history, or in the first Instance by a study of its geographic and administrative structure. However, when talking about a city with as many facets as Antalya, it is not easy to decide where to begin. We therefore believe we should start with the natural beauty of the Antalya region, as man is influenced more by nature than any other factor and because everyone seems to be bewitched by the beauty of Antalya.
Here all tones of blues and greens blend into such harmony and are so predominant that other colours may go unnoticed.

ANTALYA KALE İÇİ

The city of Antalya stretches along the bay bearing its name, and is built at 39 meters altitude on a rocky coastline. One is immediately struck by the Taurus mountains rising to 3086 meters above this coastline, interspersed with valleys of varying sizes. Land and sea everywhere meet the beaches stretching for miles or the steep cliffs.
